Reading List & Links

Reading List:

You do not need to read anything before you take an Enlightenment Intensive. You will experientially discover these things for yourself , from yourself. In fact these teachers will make more sense afterwards. All you will need on your Enlightenment Intensive is an open, enquiring mind and a desire to really know what is real.

However we recommend the following short list as extremely helpful in your enquiry and reflection.

These and other books are available at our free introductory talks.

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment.

by Eckhart Tolle

Just about the simplest and clearest explanation of what enlightenment is, and the suffering we put ourselves through due to lack of awareness. Written in and of our times. A best seller and deservedly so.

I Am That: Talks with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Read it online here

by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Sudhakar S. Dikshit, and Maurice Frydman.

This Indian master demolishes the eastern spiritual cliches and speaks directly from the most profound view. You can feel it coming off every one of these 400 pages. Open the book anywhere. If it doesn’t make sense – take a long look at yourself on an Enlightenment Intensive and read again.

Almost anything by him. He consistently spread the same message for decades. He was pointing to rock bottom truth with no entertainment.

Being Right Here: The Mirror of Clear Meaning

by James Low

This book is a translation of an ancient Tibetan text of the very direct Dzogchen tradition. The commentaries offered by James Low unravel the essentials of this profound tradition with everyday analogies in plain English that do not require years of study to access.
